Porteau Cove

Porteau Cove Provincial Park has: - Beach access (for splashers, swimmers, scuba divers, paddlers, etc.) - Day-use areas with picnic tables - A boat launch - A campground with many waterfront campsites with a view over Howe Sound to the mountain beyond - An old ship has been sunk to provide interest for scuba divers and to attract marine life. There are special facilities for divers. - Washroom facilities with flush toilets It's easy to get to with the entrance right off the Sea to Sky Highway (about 40km North of Vancouver or 20km South of Squamish). Please note that the neaby train tracks are active and occasional noise disturbance may occur. Swim Wild Squamish swims here on Saturday mornings throughout the year. The water tends to be fairly clear, expect the usual sea life.
