The White River Waterkeeper previously monitored water quality at sites in this region, but now the region is no longer monitored. For historical data, water at all sites were sampled for E. coli and Total coliform. Test results were expressed as Most Probable Number (MPN) of E.coli CFU (colony forming units) per 100 ml. White River Waterkeeper used the 2012 Beach Action Value (BAV) recommended by the EPA (235 E.coli/100 mL), which is based on an estimated illness rate of 36 individuals per 1,000. A beach was marked Green when single sample results were under 235 E.coli / 100 ML water. A beach was marked Red when the results were equal to or above 235 E.coli / 100 ML water. A beach was marked Grey when there were no current results or there was no available information. Disclaimer: The information contained on this website is for informational purposes only.
